LAMISI is a prolific artist and an accomplished singer. Regina Lamisi Awiniman Anabilla Akuka, was born on a mid-spring morning in 1986 in Ghana, West Africa. One of the the most beautiful, sensual and emotional voices in Ghana, received the blessing of the musical vibes at the tender age of seven.

She writes, composes and performs with skill. Lamisi is awesome on stage, both sexy and elegant with a generous body language.Her performances always take you on a musical journey, while her songs connect with audiences everywhere. She is naturally talented and has the facility of singing rhythmically and with syncopation, which strikes you and can be attributed to her nothern Ghanaian ethnicity.

First acquiring experience by teaming up with The Patch Bay Band as lead singer and performing throughout Ghana for several years, she then released “Tanka Fanka” which marked her debut solo career. The AFRO-FUSION-POP, a melting pot, crisscrossing world music, is “en route”. The birth of a musical genre, an identity which will be established away from the confines of simple categorisation.

Lamisi’s musical talent was inspired by listening to Miriam Makeba, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Angelique Kidjo and many more. Her powerful versatile voice has taken her to a credible level giving her the opportunity to work and collaborate with musicians of international renown ( in the Studios and on stages) like Rocky Dawuni, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Samini, Amandzeba, Atongo, Becca, Afro Moses, as well as Patoranking (Nigeria) and Lady May(Namibia). Lamisi features on Ghana’s 1st Reggae/Dancehall Compilation by Irie Ites Studio in 2016 (Irie Jamz Compilation – Volume 1).

She has performed for the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) and some other notable events such as a night of 1000 laughs and music, World Cup 2010 in South Africa; December to remember 2011; Yokohama Trade Festival 2012; Felabrations Ikeija Lagos 2012; Loud in Ghana 2013/14 Ghana meets Niger 2014; Lagos Jazz Festival 2014; Mo Ibrahim foundation concert in Ghana 2014 Ghana Rocks 2015/16; and Astana Trade Festival 2017.; Atongo Zimba's SANKUNNI at the Accra Alliance Francaise on April 2018; Yfm's Boss Ladies Club Show on May 2018.

23rd February 2019, Lamisi released her debut album title "Brighter Side", the 12 song album received rave reviews with Ghana Music terming it as a must listen to album.
The Album beams with the luminesce that it carries in its name.
